Les Fonts de l’Algar
Near the town of Callosa d’en Sarrià in the foothills of the Sierra de Bernia, the river forms a series of waterfalls called the Fonts de l’Algar (Catalan: Fuentes del Algar), which are a tourist attraction (accessible for a fee) ). You can swim in the small, natural and artificial pools surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation.
Reservoir of Guadalest
The reservoir of Guadalest is a reservoir near the town of El Castell de Guadalest in the Spanish province of Alicante. The reservoir has a capacity of 12.99 hm³ (12.99 million cubic meters) and a water surface of a maximum of 86 ha. It receives its water mainly from the river Guadalest, which flows downstream of the reservoir with the river Algar. The concrete dam is 94 meters high and 236 meters long with an overflow capacity of up to 400 m³ / s (cubic meters per second). The water is used for drinking water supply and agricultural purposes in and around Alfaz del Pi, Altea, Benidorm, Finestrat, Polop, La Nucîa and Villajoyosa.

Guadalest
Guadalest is a tiny village with about 200 inhabitants. It is located on the top of a mountain. From Guadalest you have a beautiful view over the reservoir and the green valley with the many other mountains in the background.
The only way to enter Guadalest is via a 15 meter long tunnel that runs through a rock. Visit the castle of San José, the Fort of Alcozaiba, Casa Orduña (museum), the Parochial Church in Baroque style and the Prison of the XII century located under the town hall.
